The French Clinic

I am now at the French clinic trying to get an appointment with a doctor. This clinic caters mostly for expats as there are no private hospitals here.The clinic is small but amazingly it is well equipped and the doctors are really nice. I happen to know one of the doctors whom I met at one of the farewell functions hosted by my good friend the Indonesian Ambassador. The doctor happens to be half Indonesian and half dutch. So for emergencies my family and I would visit this clinic. This is only my second visit. There is another clinic run by the Australian embassy which is also open for expats in emergency cases. I sent my son there when he caught dengue. I have been having this persistent stomach cramps for more than a week and I don't know what really causes it. I went to see a doctor at the clinic last week(my first visit) and he said that there is a bug going around at the moment. I cannot understand it. I took all the medications given and I'm still having painful cramps. I'm just hoping I have nothing serious as we will be taking our summer break back home next week and I don't want to end up lying in bed convalesing. I'm looking forward to this trip and I'm sure my kids too especially the boys as they have not been back home for nearly 2 years. I can see there are a couple of patients also waiting so I have a good feeling I will be here for a little while. I just saw a man walking in having an argument with the receptionist. I could hear him complaining why the que was long. He was raising his voice and the poor lady said she couldn't do anything about it as there are many patients waiting. I guess the receptionist is used to this petulant show of impatient behaviour. He needs to understand being a patient is being patient. Duhh!

100% or more than 100%

A friend sent me an email on this today and I thought it's hilarious. Please pardon me on the slight vulgarity of the language used but it is part of the whole joke.

Mathematics:
This comes from 2 math teachers with a combined total of 70 yrs. experience.
It has an indisputable mathematical logic. It also made me Laugh Out Loud.

What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?

We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over

So, one can conclude with mathematical certainty,
that while Hard work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, its the Bullshit and Ass Kissing that will put you over the top.
